Re: How to display png file in toolbar
Hi David,
I wasn't asking for the ability to use the PNG, but rather that the resource
editors bitmap editing capabilities be upgraded to allow someone to paste in
a PNG or JPG and have the palette, size, etc. saved correctly and convert it
to a .BMP when saved out. That seems like it should be easy enough to do,
but typically we end up telling people to use Paint to convert the file.
Maybe Microsoft should just build Paint into the resource editor :o)

This is kind of obvious but I guess I have gotten used to living with
how it is and not expecting anything more. I also recall many years
MSFT was saying they were going to freeze Resource Editor as it was
(VS7 timeframe) and go with newer technology.
Getting used to WPF and how you can put any image or even video in
anything else makes me think even if MS allowed .png in a toolbar button
is kind of rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic.
