While migrating MFC project from VC6.0 to VC 2005, I have encountered
following linking error;

1>CVTRES : fatal error CVT1100: duplicate resource. type:MANIFEST,
name:1, language:0x0409

Project already contains 'mainifest.xml' resource. Whereas the
project settings 'Manifest Tool\Input and Output' has a parameter
'Embed Manifest' = Yes.

Please tell me, What this error basically means ? and how to get rid
of it ?

I suspect you already have a manually authored manifest in your
resources. Pick one: if you like your handcrafted manifest, set Embed
Manifest to No. If you would rather have it automatically generated,
remove it from resources.

With sufficient thrust, pigs fly just fine. However, this is not
necessarily a good idea. It is hard to be sure where they are going to
land, and it could be dangerous sitting under them as they fly
overhead. -- RFC 1925
