Most employers will reject a candidate who misspells "Java" (never mind
"good") while claiming to to be "very well" skilled in it.
Roedy's other advice is also very good - there's a big need in most Java shops
for solid enterprise developers with a good knowledge of the back end. But
don't stop there.
So much of Java enterprise programming is more about deployment and operations
than yet another Java object. Have a good understanding of how the various
pieces of the enterprise puzzle fit together: web services, business-process
scripting (BPEL), data-object caching (think grid computing) and other "glue"
technologies are vital in the professional Java world.
Needs vary by market. Check out employers in the area where you wish to work
and see what they want.
