The login_logout can be programed to return true when it completed.
Then we can put it in a while loop.
for (int i=0;i<10;i++){
    while (login_logout()){
        //Do we need anything here to pass the token back to the OS?
    }
}

then "nothing".

If it does you will need some code in the child to notify the parent
the work is done.
